Professional Engineer Allan Morales talks about his travels all over the nation and how vital education is for your future.

Hello, my name is Allan Morales and I became a student leader for the University of South Florida for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and I got to travel around the country where could see and hear all the issues everyone has at the middle school and high school level. I know about the difficulties kids face with single parents or no parents to help push them to do their homework and try to get ahead in life. I also a major problem is kids want to join a group or gang to feel like they belong to something real and cool, or some even out of fear. Those are not the right choices for their future. Well, I'm here to tell you that you have a choice. It is your choice you are making now. Think about what you want to be and what you want to do as an adult, and understand that your choices now will help steer you towards what you want to be later. Think before you do and know that sticking with education can bring you anything you want. My motto has always been it is not a matter when you get out of school, but what you get out of it. And remember even dead fish can go with the flow, but make some effort to be yourself, be who you are and find your own way. Good luck.
